Chicago Global Radio® (CGR) is a 24/7 online radio station dedicated to promoting house, classic house, garage, afro house, jackin house, soulful house, deep house, latin house, nu‑disco / indie, lounge, progressive house, minimal / deep tech, tech house, techno, electronic, and global music.

CGR respects copyright laws and is committed to full compliance with all applicable intellectual‑property regulations.

2. Fair Use & Promotional Use

CGR operates under the principles of fair use as defined in the U.S. Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 107). Some music and content aired on CGR may be used for educational, promotional, commentary, or review purposes. Our intent is to support artists, DJs, and producers by showcasing their work to a global audience.

CGR does not claim ownership of third‑party copyrighted material unless explicitly stated. The purpose of our broadcasts is to promote and provide exposure for artists and their work within the music community.

3. Licensing & Copyright Compliance

CGR ensures that all music broadcast complies with copyright law through:

• Direct Licensing: Working directly with artists, labels, and distributors to obtain permissions.

• Third‑Party Licensing: Securing broadcast licenses, where applicable, from relevant organizations, including SoundExchange, ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC.

• DJs & Contributor Responsibility: All DJs and content contributors must ensure they hold the appropriate rights or licenses for all materials included in their mixes. By submitting content to CGR, contributors represent and warrant they possess legal rights to all included music.

4. DMCA Compliance & Content Removal Requests

​

CGR complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) (17 U.S.C. § 512) regarding copyright‑infringement claims. If you believe your copyrighted work has been used improperly, please email info@chicagoglobalradio.com with:

• Your full contact information.

• A link to or description of the copyrighted work and where it appears.

• Proof of ownership or authorization to act on the owner’s behalf.

• A good‑faith statement that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.

 

CGR will review and, when appropriate, remove or disable the content promptly.

 

5. Live Streaming & Digital Platforms

Notice: Third‑party platforms (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Mixcloud, SoundCloud, YouTube, and Twitch) use automated copyright‑detection systems that may mute, block, or remove streams, videos, or clips—regardless of fair‑use protections or valid licensing.

While CGR operates under fair‑use principles and appropriate licensing agreements, we have no control over automated actions taken by external services and cannot be held responsible for interruptions, removals, or restrictions they impose. Whenever feasible, CGR will make reasonable efforts to assist with resolving related disputes.

6. Indemnification

By broadcasting on or submitting content to CGR, DJs and contributors agree to:

• Secure all necessary rights for the music they play.

• Avoid transmitting any content that infringes third‑party rights.

• Acknowledge that CGR may remove material violating this policy.

• Provide appropriate credit to artists and producers, where practicable.

• Indemnify and hold harmless Chicago Global Radio®, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or legal actions arising from unauthorized use of copyrighted material.
